Community Kirtan with Cecily, son Cassius and special guest Lydia.
7:30 pm - 8.30 pm
Friday 11 April
Join Cecily, Cassius and special guest Lydia, for an uplifting evening of music and mantra.
Kirtan, is a form of call-and-response chanting. Together, we unite our voices in celebration of life and enjoy story-telling in song form.
The vibration of mantra can be a powerful form of meditation and Kirtan can be an elixir for challenging times, providing freedom from a busy mind.
We hope you can join us for this special evening! No prior chanting or Kirtan experience is necessary, and there is no requirement to join in the chanting. You can simply let the sounds of the evening wash over you.
What to expect
Traditionally, Kirtan is a coming together of people where chants are usually sung in Sanskrit in a call-and-response style.
Cecily will be playing the harmonium and will be accompanied by her son Cassius on the African drums.
Bring your friends and family and get ready for a very special community event.
Who is this for
Anyone and everyone!
No experience is needed to join us.
