A SLOW DANCE
One of the principles I like to explore when I practice yoga is how I am spending my energy. Sometimes when we are in a challenging posture, we notice we are clenching our jaw or trying too hard. If we relax where we can in our body and soften our mindset, all of a sudden we are struggling less. This is important because if we manage our physical and mental energy wisely and send it where we really need it, we can build a sustainable practice.
Even in the most demanding class, we should aim for something that feels more like a slow dance and less like a wrestling match. Like most principles of yoga, this is something to apply in all aspects of life, don’t you think?
One quote…
Not all speed is movement.

One question…
Where in my life am I mistaking stress for progress?
