Guided Dance series with Lana
July pop-up classes:
This July, join our much-loved Pilates teacher and contemporary dance artist Lana Šprajcer for a series of creative dance classes at our spacious studio.
This unique movement experience invites you to explore the joy of self-expression through creative dance. This class encourages a deeper connection between movement, breath, and imagination.
What to Expect:
Gentle Warm-Up: each class begins with a collective circle to softly mobilise joints and muscles, bringing awareness to different body parts.
Partnered Exploration: Engage in creative exercises where one partner initiates movement through gentle touch and the other responds, fostering sensitivity, curiosity, and awareness.
Solo Improvisation: Transition into individual movement exploration, drawing inspiration from previous exercises and discovering new movement pathways and expressions.
Breath Integration: Incorporate breath as a guiding force, experimenting with movement initiated on inhale, exhale, or pauses between, enhancing the connection between mind and body, breath and motion.
Creative Play: Explore various movement qualities and efforts such as light, heavy, fluid, or grounded, encouraging imaginative and expressive dance.
Who is this for?
This series is open to everyone, regardless of their previous knowledge and experience. You are welcome to join one of the classes or participate in the whole series.
