Mother’s Day Rest : unwind and relax in this Mother’s Day special event that combines restorative yoga, mantra, and hands-on assists.

Guided by Assembly Yoga teachers Kayla Robertson and Cecily Chun, this deeply nurturing 90 minute practice offers mums, caregivers and yoga students the opportunity to slow down and rest through an extended restful practice.

With a focus on relaxing the body through longer held poses and the option for hands on assists, as well as calming the nervous system through breathwork and mantra, gift yourself or your mum this special opportunity to rest and recharge for Mother’s Day.

FACILITATOR INFO:

Kayla Robertson is a yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher that combines her interest in mind-body practices with her training in psychology and mental health. Known for her restorative approach to practise, Kayla’s classes focus on breathwork, mindful movement, and body-based stress release. Alongside facilitating in-person classes, Kayla is a certified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, and offers programs for pregnancy and postpartum at The Natal. As a student of yoga for 15 years, Kayla is particularly interested in how wellbeing practices can support us to experience greater compassion, resilience, and joy in everyday life.

Cecily Chun is a much loved and respected teacher known for her intelligent sequencing, nurturing assists and love of yoga philosophy. Cecily has trained with renowned international teachers Rod Stryker and Shiva Rea and brings a deep appreciation for the many practices of yoga into her classes. Join her for lighthearted and playful movement, grounding breath practices and if you’re lucky, she might even pull out her harmonium and sing!
