Beginners Yoga Course 4-weeks with Tori
Despite what we may see, Yoga isn’t about flexibility and handstands.
“The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships.” ― T.K.V. Desikachar.
This 4-week course is designed to introduce you to key philosophies of the Yogic tradition woven into movement classes and aimed at learning foundational poses, alignment, and prāṇāyām (breathing techniques). Learning the foundations of Yoga gives you the confidence to begin attending Yoga classes exactly as you are; feel into your own unique body and being, understand the benefits of the practice, and perhaps even step into a lifelong relationship with Yoga.
You can expect to learn about the rich system of Yoga beyond the movement practice and how to apply it to your daily life.
This workshop is appropriate for beginners, those with a minimal understanding of Yoga, and those looking to build on their existing practice.

Facilitator bio
Tori has been practising Yoga since the age of sixteen, when she attended her first Yoga class as her chosen “school sport”, hooked from the get go. Sixteen years on and a teacher since 2012, Tori has maintained her love of Yoga, and feels very assured it isn’t a “sport” at all.
Tori’s passion for ancient Yogic philosophy, history and practice has shaped a deep, all-encompassing teaching style, anchored in the roots of a profound, holistic tradition. She seeks to create a space for her students to experience Yoga as a means of liberation, surrender and devotion. Knowing Yoga as more than just a means of maintaining a healthy body, Tori has experienced the effects it can have on the mind and our connection to spirit, and remains committed to ongoing svādhyāya (self-study); ever the student of Yoga.
