AN ORDINARY KIND OF JOY
This weekend was unusually normal. I went for lunch at a bustling CBD restaurant, watched a swarm of kids play cricket at our local park and dropped my daughter off for her every first sleepover. But this “normal” weekend felt far from ordinary and I held each of these experiences with awe and wonder. The past few weeks I have felt myself slowly relaxing into our rediscovered freedoms but with a sharpened sense of gratitude that I am determined to not let fade over time. The joy of clinking wine glasses, squeals of joy from rowdy kids and a big toothy grin from my six year old are all things I will hold close to my heart for a long time to come.
One quote…
When we have a toothache, we know that not having a toothache is happiness. But later, when we don’t have a toothache, we don’t treasure out non-toothache. Practicing mindfulness helps us appreciate the well-being that is already there.

One question…
Open your eyes…what do you see around you that brings you joy?
