STUDIO CLASSES +

Do I need to book?

We do prefer bookings, but walk-ins are welcome. We strongly suggest downloading the MINDBODY app to book and manage your classes. We do not accept class cancellations by phone or email.

If you have a concern regarding your pass, or want to swing past for a spontaneous visit, please arrive ten minutes early before class to book in with your teacher.

How do I book online?

You will need to create an account with us through our booking software, MINDBODY. Once you are set up you can view the live class schedule and can make and cancel class bookings on the go using the app.

How do I cancel a class

Please manage your bookings through the MINDBODY app. You cancel your class up to 5 minutes before and we cannot accept cancellations by email or phone. If you late cancel you will forfeit a class - please stay on top of our T&C's.

If you booked by ClassPass, you also need to cancel by ClassPass. We cannot do this for you.

How does the waitlist work?

If the class is full you can go on a wait list. In the case someone cancels out you will receive an email and be automatically be moved into the class.

Please note you are charged when you go on the waitlist (we can't control this and it is a feature of the booking software). If you don't end up with a spot in the class you have a class credit for future use. If you are cancelling out of a class please do so as early as possible to gove people the most notice possible. Thanks!

I’m running late - what should I do?

We do close the doors at the start of class for the ease and security of our students so late entry isn't possible. No refunds will be given. Please cancel out of any class you won't get to.

Where’s the best place to park?

There is plenty of street parking on either side of Barkly St near the studio but it is pretty much one hour. There is 2 hour parking in side streets and at the IGA and Post Office just further down Barkly St towards Whitten Oval. There are a few sneaky parks out the back behind the studio (laneway access via Buxton St).

NEW STUDENTS +

It’s my first class - what do I need to know?

First up, a big pat on the back for giving it a go. Please let us know you are new when you arrive and feel free to ask as many questions as you like. We would love to hear why you are here and how we can make you feel at ease. Give yourself a few weeks to settle in. Try different classes and teachers and go easy on yourself - good things take time! Have a good read through the FAQ page and have fun. Ask us any questions you need.

I’m new to yoga and Pilates. What class should I try?

We suggest starting out with Gentle Flow if you are looking for a dynamic yoga class to build strength and improve flexibility and Chill if your focus is on relaxing rather than dynamic movement.

Mat Pilates is an all levels class designed to challenge you no matter your experience or fitness level. All welcome, especially the beginner!

We all know the best class is the one you can actually get to, so if you are new and you can only make a Flow class then definitely come along! Let us know so we can extend some additional support. You can check out our class descriptions HERE.

It’s my first time - what pass should I book?

We suggest starting off with our Intro Pass. 3 Weeks Unlimited for $50 is a great deal. Get to know us, find what teachers you love and the classes that suit you best. Expires 21 days after your first visit.

What should I wear?

Most people will be in leggings and a singlet for ease of movement. Our classes are heated to 25 degrees so come prepared to sweat a little and we suggest a light long sleeve top to throw on at the end of class once you cool down. If you are coing along to Chill, the aim is to be super cosy so a jumper, socks and comfortable clothing you can move (gently) in is the way to go.

Do you have mats and towels for hire?

We have all props available for your use at no charge. You are also welcome to BYO. We have one shoer, a limited of supply of towels are available.

MEMBERSHIPS +

What memberships do you offer?

If you are practicing 2 - 3 times a week then our membership options are definitely the most economical ways to practice. Our Direct Debit Membership gives you access to unlimited yoga and Pilates billed weekly by direct debit or credit card. Pause as many times as you like and cancel anytime.

Can I suspend or cancel my membership?

Our direct debit memberships can be cancelled or suspended at any time with 7 days notice, by email. Intro passes cannot be suspended or cancelled.

GIFT CARDS +

How good is a gift card for something you love! Treat someone special or drop a hint by checking out our gift cards. Available online for specific or custom amounts and delivered with a personal message straight to the inbox. For a more traditional approach, purchase a beautiful printed gift card from the studio. Studio is open 15 minutes before and after scheduled classes.

If you have received a gift card, please create an account with us and email through your Gift Card number so we can activate it for you.

PRIVATES AND CORPORATE +

Do you offer private classes?

1:1 or small group sessions are a great way to explore and tailor a yoga or Pilates practice to your needs. You might consider a private session if you are managing an injury, prefer to practice alone or have a particular focus in mind. Bookings for in studio or Zoom sessions can be made online HERE. Please contact us to learn more: hello@assemblystudios.com.au

Do you offer group or corporate classes?

We can definitely cater to corporate or community groups and run programs at the studio or your preferred location including lkive stream or on demand options. Bookings can be made on MINDBODY. Please also feel free to contact us to discuss a tailored program. hello@assemblystudios.com.au

PREGNANCY +

What classes are suitable if I am pregnant?

We welcome pregnant students to all our classes as long as you are generally well, not experiencing complications and have your doctor’s approval. Our teachers are able to provide you with modifications so make sure you let us know and arrive a few minutes early to chat over your particular situation. If you are newer to yoga we suggest sticking with Gentle Flow or Chill.

How long after birth can I come back to class?

Once you have your 6 week check up and get the all clear for physical activity we would love to welcome you back. We suggest you ease your way back into your regular practice slowly. Please chat to us if you need any more support on how to modify and adapt your practice to keep you safe.

KIDS +

Can my child attend yoga with me?

Generally we find children over the age of 12 years old able to enjoy our classes. We do require an adult to accompany them until they are 15 years old. Please note we leave all final decisions at the discretion of our teachers on a case by case scenario.
